Program Aimed to Engage, Inform Youth to Show Tolerance And Respect
WESTPORT, Conn., November 30, 2011 – Catapult Action-Biased Marketing has been engaged by WWE to support their new anti-bullying alliance, be a STAR (www.beastaralliance.org) – which stands for “Show Tolerance And Respect”. Catapult was tasked with creating a new, comprehensive online destination for be a STAR, which serves as an informative portal for students, parents and teachers about bullying. The alliance was co-founded and launched by The Creative Coalition and WWE in April 2011 and has been gaining global momentum ever since.
Catapult’s re-design helped to fulfill the alliance’s mission to promote positive methods of social interaction and encourage people to treat others as equals and with respect because everyone is a star in their own right. The agency leveraged social media as a critical element in the site strategy to increase visibility and engage in conversation around this growing challenge. Additionally, the website will be populated with resource guides, video, photos and downloadable content with the functionality for users to follow all activity across Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and be a STAR partner sites. The Creative Coalition and WWE have enlisted the active involvement of The Creative Coalition’s celebrity members and WWE Superstars and Divas, as well as a growing list of 48 non-profit and corporate partners to generate global awareness. Since it launched, more than 10,000 individuals have taken the be a STAR pledge.

The website was launched in time for the back-to-school season and includes information to:

- Take the official be a STAR pledge that vows to support a bully-free environment.
