Major interest for art quilts in Paris Some of the world's most beautiful art quilts are currently on display at the Bibliothèque Fourney art library in Paris. Two of these quilts were created by textile artists Veronica Franka from Stockholm, and Bodil Vinke from Helsingborg. The Feel Free Exhibition, as it is known, is the result of an international quilt competition with participants from 20 countries. Behind the exhibition is sewing machine manufacturer VSM Group, and one of its global brands, Husqvarna Viking. "It involves about 50 quilts created by textile designers. They are incredibly beautiful and have little in common with traditional patchwork. The point here is a work of art," says Lill Nylén, PR Director of VSM Group, explaining that interest in the exhibition is very great. The Feel Free Exhibition opened for the first time at Palacio de Congreso in Barcelona in April 2002 and has been admired in many different countries since then. The quilts are on display at Bibliothèque Fourney in Paris up to 22 March. The exhibition then moves on to Switzerland. This summer, the quilts will be shown in Håverud in Sweden.
