INVITATION: Startups competing in Helsinki to improve sustainable food system

Ten food startups will compete in Helsinki on 6th October to access the EIT Food Venture Summit, where the best ideas will win a prize of EUR 100 000. As a media representative, you are welcome to the Demo Day event organized by the EIT Food Accelerator Network (EIT FAN) online.

Competing teams have interesting new technologies to develop alternative proteins and to overcome the challenges of agriculture, storage, retail and product development. All ideas contribute to a sustainable food system.Startups will compete for entry to the EIT Food Venture Summit, in which winners from all European accelerators will participate. The prize for the Venture Summit is EUR 100 000, which is won by the top three startups.

The Demo Day event will be organized as a hybrid event in Helsinki event in order to limit the number of participants attending the physical event.

The EIT Food Accelator Network is an acceleration program that supports food startups and helps them to succeed. EIT FAN Nordic Hub is one of the six accelerators in Europe and was founded by VTT, the University of Helsinki and Valio.

The language of the event is English.
