Marko Koistila appointed as Vice President, Sales and Customer Partnerships at VTT: Science and research create future business success stories
Marko Koistila has been appointed as VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd’s Vice President, Sales and Customer Partnerships as of 1 June 2019.
Marko Koistila is leaving behind a career in the pharmaceutical industry and a long line of leadership positions at GSK both in Finland and abroad.
“Marko’s varied and international background made him an ideal candidate for our vacancy. The pharmaceutical industry is a highly research-intensive sector, and Marko is therefore also familiar with the world of research”, says Mika Toikka, VTT’s Executive Vice President, Commercial Operations.
“I had been wanting to work with Finnish know-how and new technologies that create growth opportunities for businesses for a while. In this position, I am able to contribute to these future success stories”, Koistila says. “I believe that technological solutions are the key to solving global challenges”, he adds. “However, science, research and technology need to satisfy customers’ needs.
