New board of directors of Wallenberg Investments AB consisting of Marcus Wallenberg (Chair), Jacob Wallenberg (vice Chair), Sara Mazur and Jacob de Geer.

Wallenberg Investments AB manages and develops the assets of the Wallenberg Foundations. The assets of the Wallenberg Foundations are managed through engaged ownership, a tradition that has existed with the Wallenberg family since the founding of Stockholms Enskilda Bank in 1856.

“We are very pleased to announce that we now have a new composition of Wallenberg Investments AB’s board of directors in place. I would like to extend special thanks to the outgoing Chair Michael Treschow and to the Directors Claes Dahlbäck and Hans Wibom for their great work over many years”, says Peter Wallenberg Jr, Chair of the Nomination Committee.

“I am very much looking forward to working with the Board to further develop the long-term work within Wallenberg Investments. With her background in both business and research, Sara Mazur will be a strong addition to the board. Jacob de Geer, with his experience of building and scaling companies globally as well as his large network in areas such as technology, will add important perspectives in our work going forward”, says Marcus Wallenberg, Chair of Wallenberg Investments.

Sara Mazur is Strategic Director of Research at Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation and Chair of the research programs WASP and WISE, she is also Member of the Board of Saab AB. Sara is an Associate Professor of fusion plasma physics and former Head of Research at Ericsson and will leave her position on the board of Investor AB at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting.

Jacob de Geer is the founder and former CEO of iZettle, which was acquired by PayPal 2018. Jacob has a master’s degree in business administration from the Stockholm School of Economics.
