Big top fun at Warwick Racecourse – no fooling!
There will be family fun by the bucket load at Warwick Racecourse on Easter Monday for its April Fool’s Day race meeting, including a circus in the Course Enclosure.
It is also the first flat race meeting of the season at Warwick and sees six superb races on the card, with the first scheduled for 2.20pm.
Other highlights at the Bank Holiday extravaganza include live music from rising local musician Matt Bate who has just been in Barbados recording his debut EP.
Huw Williams, general manager, Warwick Racecourse, said: “This is our first Bank Holiday race fixture of the year and it promises to be a great day out for all the family. Being the 1st April it seems more than appropriate that the circus, with lots of joking and giggles galore, will be one of the main attractions.
“Indeed, I just hope the clowns don’t mistake the parade ring for the circus ring!”
Tickets for the Course Enclosure cost just £10 each for adults and are available in advance or on the day, while children aged 17 and under get in free when accompanied by an adult. Tickets for the main enclosure are £20 each. For more information visit www.warwickracecourse.co.uk
“On a more serious note, it’s great to start our flat racing season again, which will see 11 flat race meetings until October.
“Highlights include Ladies Night in May, our Alternative Ascot in June and Gentlemen’s Day in July. It’s a packed calendar, with something for everyone,” added Huw.
