Warwick Racecourse is pulling no punches as it plays host to ‘Turpin’s Boxing Day’ on Saturday 25th May.

Presented by Jackie Turpin ABC, the fifteen open air bouts are sure to prove a ‘hit’ with fans eager to enjoy some knockout boxing at the historic venue which is more used to four-legged thoroughbreds!

The former British and W.B.U. World Middleweight Champion – Wayne ‘Mad Dog’ Elcock – will also be a special guest at the boxing extravaganza. A Brummie born and bred, Wayne is also the former undefeated English and WBF International Middleweight Champion.

In between the action, fight fans can enjoy a buffet and a licensed bar, while it also promises to be a great day out for families with children’s entertainment provided.

Huw Williams, general manager, Warwick Racecourse, said: “Turpin’s Boxing Day pays homage to the three legendary local fighting brothers, arguably Britain’s greatest ever boxing family, and it promises to be a fantastic sporting spectacle.”

The Turpin brothers – Jackie, Dick and Randolph - are synonymous with Warwickshire. Most famously Randolph was a world middleweight champion in 1951 and although all three brothers have passed away, their legacy lives on at the Jackie Turpin ABC.

Standard admission to the boxing extravaganza is £10, with admission including buffet £20. Children under 10 go free. The first bout is at 3pm, with gates open from 2pm.
