Inaugural Gentlemen’s Day at Warwick Racecourse
Warwick Racecourse hosts its first ever dedicated Gentlemen’s Day with six first-class races and also a very special package for those who enjoy a round of golf!
As well as the packed card on Thursday 11th July for all to enjoy, there’s also the option of playing nine holes at Warwick Golf Centre (located in the centre of the racecourse) beforehand.
Included in the deal is a bacon roll on arrival plus the golf action, before heading back to the main enclosure for an afternoon at the races and a pie, two pints and a £2 bet.
There’s also a Best Dressed competition for those who believe they have a sense of style with a top prize of a VIP day out for two at Birmingham City Football Club.
For those who purely want to enjoy the horse racing then tickets for the main enclosure are available to order in advance at a discounted rate, and will also be available on the day.
Huw Williams, general manager, Warwick Racecourse, said: “Our summer series of flat racing just gets better and better and we believe we’ve put together a great package by mixing golf with horse racing.
“However, it’s also a great afternoon of flat racing and is the perfect excuse to enjoy a fantastic sporting spectacle in superb surroundings.”
Tickets for the special golf and racing package cost just £35 each and can be booked in advance by visiting www.warwickracecourse.co.uk, along with main enclosure tickets, restaurant packages and general information about the course.
Gates open for Gentlemen’s Day at 12.20pm with the first race at 2.20pm, while the last race of the day is at 5.15pm.
Meanwhile, the next fixture after Gentlemen’s Day at Warwick Racecourse is an evening fixture on August 21st which includes a Celebration of Bollywood as part of its contribution to the town’s Food and Film festival.
