Nature Photography: Sunset Summer Light

Capture the shifting evening light with artist Hatuey Ramos Fermin. Wave Hill's magnificent gardens and architectural structures take on a very different feel during evening hours, providing a magical opportunity for capturing atmospheric images. Each session combines outdoor photography with reviews of student's work. All levels welcome. Registration required. Series fee: $90 Member/$105 Non-member. 6-8pm
Landscape Oil Painting: Reflections of Light, Color and Form

Explore Landscape as a form and physical body in this plein-air class with painter David Antonio Cruz. Working from direct observation, participants consider composition, light and color on reflective surfaces, paint handling and the use of a limited and full palette. All levels welcome. Sunday, July 21 Geometric Patterns in Nature
Capture abstract and geometric patterns found in nature using your digital camera. Artist Fariba Alam guides participants in creating images that can stand on their own or become the starting point for intricate symmetrical collages and patterns.
Sunday, August 18 Botanical Illustration & Observation
Observe and document the intricate details and forms of plants and flowers found in Wave Hill's gardens with artist and naturalist Gabriel Willow. Using pencil and pen, practice techniques of botanical illustration while exploring the intersection of art and science.
