Sunset Wednesdays Light Up Wave Hill This Summer
Come summer, you want to be where cool breezes blow off the river, sipping a tall glass of something refreshing. It’s heaven. Or is it Wave Hill? Venture here any Wednesday evening from mid-July through August for that quintessential summer experience. Want to add some structure to your visit? Try an outdoor yoga class, a guided garden walk or wander onto the Great Lawn for a plein air performance by local BxIndie musicians, thanks to a partnership with the Bronx Council on the Arts. Enjoy a mix of jazz and blues trios, classical ensembles and Celtic music, on instruments as varied as the banjo, the bodhran and the button accordion.
New this year, you can bring your own folding chair and enjoy the concert from the comfort of your favorite seat. Be sure to pick up a signature Wave Hill insulated tote bag from The Shop at Wave Hill for the perfect picnic accessory and, as always, we invite you to enjoy a picnic supper in our designated picnic area which on these special evening will be extended to the Great Lawn. (Please leave blankets at home!)
