On Sunday, November 23, Armor Hall springs to life with a rollicking performance by the Canal Street String Band. The trio, comprised of musicians Phil Banaszak, Dave Ruch and Jim Whitford, puts a brand-new shine on some seriously fun, traditional American music with its captivating vocals and innumerable stringed instruments—and even a pair of cow bones! Lauded by The Buffalo News for its “masterful playing,” the group performs a mix of lively tunes, ranging from sea shanties and cowboy songs to mountain music and western swing. The delightfully eclectic program is     a treat for adults and children (ages eight and up) alike! Come early to enjoy a leisurely stroll through Wave Hill’s renowned gardens or a visit to Recapturing the Scenic Wilds in Glyndor Gallery, and then settle in for an outstanding performance, starting at 2PM.

This performance is a part of Wave Hill’s Harvest Weekend, a weekend-long celebration of the history, community and creativity that make Wave Hill so special. For more information and a full list of family-friendly activities and workshops, please visit the website.
