Wave Hill is a 28-acre public garden and cultural center in the Bronx overlooking the Hudson River and Palisades. Its mission is to celebrate the artistry and legacy of its gardens and landscapes, to preserve its magnificent views, and to explore human connections to the natural world through programs in horticulture, education and the arts.

Campbell and Yeon Ji Yoo engage the Sunroom Project Space in Glyndor House at Wave Hill with site-specific works inspired by local social and natural history. Campbell’s installation, Usable Pasts, critically examines historical material, exploring the gaps in our social and cultural collective memory. Wave Hill Announces Garden & Nature Walks This Summer

Step outside and explore Wave Hill’s blooming gardens this summer. Select from a variety of walks showcasing unique aspects of the garden and its wildlife. Hear Wave Hill’s talented gardeners discuss their favorite plants and describe their plans for the gardening season at the Meet the Gardeners Walk. Stroll through the Wild Garden with a garden interpreter at Walk on the Wild Side, and gain some fascinating insight into the planning and management of this “natural” garden with Director of Horticulture Scott Canning and gardener Syretha Brooks at A Gardener’s View of the Wild Garden.

Celebrate Earth Day at Wave Hill on April 22

Celebrate Mother Nature on a weekend filled with activities that will charm everyone from our youngest guest to the most seasoned garden visitor. Admission to the grounds is free all day Sunday, thanks to the generous support of Target. Both days, join the Family Art Project for stories honoring our trees, and then create a portrait as your own tribute and fashion a tiny Earth Day charm or pin. Saturday’s highlights include a kid-friendly Earth Day Garden Walk, a Wave Hill History Walk and a guided Gallery Tour of the exhibition in Glyndor Galley—work by eight artists inspired by Wave
