The 16th annual Crystal Disc Competition, held by Trade Fairs Brno in the Czech Republic, recognises the best exhibits at the International Fairs of Information Technology and Consumer Electronics INVEX-DIGITEX. This award is one of the most prestigious in its field, and it is therefore with great satisfaction that we at Wayfinder can announce that the Crystal Disc in the General Manager Award category was given this year to O2 Navigation, powered by Wayfinder.

O2 Navigation, powered by Wayfinder combines the best of GPS navigation with the convenience and functionality of a mobile phone. In addition to the standard GPS navigation service – voice and graphic navigation, route calculation, a guide when missing the chosen route and a new topical route calculation, as well as automatic updating – it comes with a range of features and extras. These include a complete world map, which can be zoomed in and clicked to provide directions to any location on the planet, even where GPS enabled navigation is unavailable. Further features include information on selected local services and locations of particular interest, traffic information, weather reports and more. This software, together with a GPS receiver, in a mobile phone, effectively renders stationary navigation devices obsolete. O2 and Wayfinder have brought the future of journey-planning to the Czech Republic.

“This Crystal Disc recognises that O2 Navigation, powered by Wayfinder, is at the cutting edge of mobile navigation innovation, and we at Wayfinder are proud that our partnership with O2 has resulted in this great accolade” says Martin Börner, VP Sales CEE Wayfinder Systems
