Kabelnoord places new order with Waystream
Waystream, a Swedish supplier of active equipment for fiber optic networks, has received a new order from Kabelnoord, one of the major cable TV operators in the Netherlands. In 2020 Kabelnoord chose Waystream as a new supplier for their network equipment in the fiber network. Kabelnoord has now submitted a new order concerning the upgrade and replacement of cable networks to FTTH (Fiber to the Home). The network currently comprises approximately 20,000 customers in the northern part of the country.

“When we needed to find a new supplier for expansion and upgrade, the choice fell on Waystream and we started our collaboration in the autumn of 2020. We have never regretted it! With the new order, we continue to upgrade and replace cable with fiber using Waystream's MS7048 and MS8024-switches.”
“We benefit greatly from Waystream's long experience in the FTTH market. They provide the experience and knowledge we need in our continued expansion of our FTTH network. With the products we get good scalability, good port density and the functions needed for our FTTH network to deliver fast internet and other services. In addition, we like that Waystreams has a built-in telemetry function in all its access switches. It is an interesting opportunity for network operators to get real-time operating status before errors affects the customer.
