In approximately a months time...

Will you be hearing Air Marshal Sir Stuart William Peach, Chief of Joint Operations, UK MOD reveal his strategies and vision for the geospatial intelligence in defence – and how he sees your organisation in the grand scheme of things?

Will you be asking "What is the next most important and relevant geospatial technology for my organisation?" as your colleagues, heads of Geoint in Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Italy and other countries discuss their technical plans and requirements for the future.

Will you be learning from Vanessa Lawrence, CB Director General and Chief Executive, Ordnance Survey about the role and plans for geo support her organisation is providing to the London 2012 Olympic Games?

... or will you be stuck in the office, wondering where everyone is?

Because, as usual, everyone, the entire GEOINT World will be at DGI 2011.

Making contacts. Picking up new ideas. Discovering what’s changing – and why. And taking the time to think rather than making an endless series of decisions and participating in planning and management meetings.

To think about why you do what you do, and how you could do it better, and to reflect on the factors – large or small – that will determine your success and the success of your organisation.

Wondering what Human Terrain Analysis means to your organisation? Join the HTA focus day at DGI 2011 to find out from those, who have experience and expertise in HTA.

Concerned about what’s going to happen to your geo strategy with the cuts in the defence budgets? Find out how others are planning to save and get more value for their money

But nowhere else are you likely to hear smarter questions or better informed opinions on the Geoint strategies in defence and national security.

DGI attracts senior level decision-makers and their staff from the leading defence organisations, who attend to network, benchmark and strategise - DGI has been described as "the integral meeting place for the geospatial community". Over 600 GIS professionals will be present - Including a delegation of over 90 personnel from the UK MOD, attendance from most European defence organisations and also the US Army, NGA, DoD and Canadian DoD. This event will almost certainly attract the largest-ever number of defence and national security organisations, with most senior representatives joining the conference and the exhibition.
