Registration Levels Up by 45% at Europe's Leading Retail & FMCG Supply Chain Conference

Registration levels are up 45% since this time last year which means that LogiCon 2011 will officially be the largest event in the retail and FMCG logistics calendar. The top focus at LogiCon is on ensuring the 2011 conference is shaped for the industry by the industry. As such, the organisers asked Jan Steuber, European Supply Chain Manager, Mars and David Roberts, Distribution Director, Aurora Fashions what they wanted to see at next year's conference and what they thought of the current state of the market , industry outlook and market development over the next 12 months.

Here are some comments from Jan Steuber, who is also a keynote speaker at LogiCon 2011 regarding how Mars will be focusing its supply chain strategy in 2011:

"I believe the key change will be increased collaboration with key customers to ensure end-to-end supply chain performance and delivery" stated Jan. "We already see this at Mars where we are successfully sourcing more insights from our customers by improving our collaboration projects".

Jan recognises that LogiCon is an opportunity to look to other companies in the retail and FMCG space and to learn first hand about their methodologies for achieving process improvement.

"In the current climate, networking is key to staying on top of developments in our industry. For me, attending LogiCon will be a chance to increase my professional network. In addition to that, I aim to source three new and innovative ideas on how to improve our demand planning processes at Mars".
