After an 11-year tenure at Dentsply Sirona-owned Wellspect HealthCare, Svenn Poulsen, the Group Vice President, retired effective September 30, 2023. Svenn's journey with Wellspect HealthCare began following Dentsply Sirona's acquisition of Astra Tech AB.

Svenn played an important role in not only establishing the corporate name and brand of Wellspect HealthCare but also crafting the Wellspect HealthCare vision: "To make a real difference to everyone who needs our products and services."

Under his guidance, Wellspect HealthCare introduced groundbreaking innovations, such as the first catheter specifically designed for men, and the award-winning LoFric Elle design, revolutionizing catheterization for women. Furthermore, Wellspect HealthCare ventured into bowel care with its Navina brand, offering a unique product featuring both manual and electronic handling of bowel irrigation.

As Wellspect HealthCare searches for a new leader, Andreas Frank, the Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer at Dentsply Sirona, will step in as acting Group Vice President, ensuring a smooth transition.
