ACDelco Strengthens Ties With UAN

ACDelco – a global leader in the field of automotive parts - has strengthened its association here in the UK with one of the aftermarket’s leading buying groups – UAN (United Aftermarket Network Limited). Having initially struck an accord with UAN involving the supply of ACDelco’s beam and spoiler wiper blades, under the terms of the new agreement, UAN will continue to recommend ACDelco’s complete aftermarket product range to more than 115 distributors with over 195 branches. Totalling in excess of some 3,500-part numbers, the ACDelco product offering takes in batteries, oils and lubricants, spark plugs, bulbs, filters, wipers, clutch kits and braking. Commenting on the decision to extend the scope of ACDelco approved supplier status, UAN managing director, Andrew Dickinson, said: “UAN is a group that works closely with its members and they have given ACDelco a mandate for the supply of a full range of products. If ACDelco continues to deliver on the three prerequisites that our distributors are looking for in our suppliers – parts quality, range and availability - then the business will continue to grow rapidly,” he added. Lee Quinney who heads up ACDelco’s aftermarket operation here in the UK, added: “As an established and well respected buying group in the UK aftermarket, we are understandably delighted to have secured further endorsement from UAN and its members.
