Creating a stunning and evocative showering experience has never been easier thanks to the introduction of a new, standard/off-the-shelf range of natural stone inline shower trays and aqua panels that are available from British stone engineers, Burlington. Formed out of what is one of the world’s most beautiful natural stones and serving as a perfect solution within today’s modern contemporary bathrooms, shower areas, and wet and steam rooms, this latest product offering takes in two standard size inline shower trays (900mm x 900mm x 30mm and 1200mm x 900mm x 30mm) and a universal aqua panel (1000mm x 450mm), in thicknesses of 20mm and 30mm. With the potential to create a visually striking, minimalist yet functional space and being complementary to a host of finishing materials, fittings and accessories, both products are available in Burlington’s soothing and relaxing blue/grey Kirkby and mid-green Broughton Moor stone. Machined with a fall, pre-cut groove to accept a glass shower screen on one side as standard and integral trap opening, both off-the-shelf shower trays are designed for installation at floor level, thereby providing a step-less walk in that epitomises today’s minimalist settings. What’s more, they available with a honed finish, however they can also be supplied to order with a sanded, water jet or gritblasted finish and in any of Burlington’s palette of five natural stones or two limestones. In addition to each stone being unique, its colour is not only enhanced by contrasting yet complementary veins and markings, its look and feel is transformed when interacting with water. The aqua panels - primarily suitable for vertical fixing - are available in a mix of finishes and colours, dependent upon thickness. All 20mm thick panels are available from stock with a honed finish in Kirkby and Broughton Moor, whereas 30mm aqua panels come with a line-textured finish in both Lord and Caulfeild limestone. As with the shower trays, the line texturing is itself interestingly transformed when water is seen cascading down the horizontal lines, the overall effect of which created a new and different dimension to the showering experience.
