For immediate issue GDBPR03.10 22nd September 2010 DIMPLEX FLUE OPTIONS PROVIDE ADDED FLEXIBILTY One of the most comprehensive and versatile line-up of flue kits and accessories available on the market is now presented by Glen Dimplex Boilers. Compatible with the company’s new easy-to-install, high efficiency range of combi, open vent and system boilers, this range of eight flue options also features a flue liner kit suitable exclusively for chimneys. All flue kits are suitable for any domestic application and are designed to provide clever and adaptable solutions for all types of installation challenges. In addition to standard horizontal and vertical flue kits, raised external flue outlet kits, external vertical flue kits, chimney flue kits and split pipe vertical flue kits are also offered. Longer lengths are available running up to ten metres horizontal and 12 metres vertical, if required. Amanda Byrne, Marketing Manager at Glen Dimplex Boilers explains: “Gone are the days of ‘straight out the back’ flue kits. As condensing technology continues to evolve and legislation looks set to increase, we recognise that a wide range of flue options is vital in helping the installer solve the various challenges faced on a daily basis – from the design of the building, limited outside accessibility, no drainage system or simply the wishes of the consumer who refuses to have a flue in sight.” /Cont… Page 2/3 GDBPR03.10 Amanda continues: “Understanding and meeting the needs of the installer is our number one priority and our impressive range of flue kits will facilitate a complete and simple solution whether it is for new build or retrofit, as well as minimising any problems created by nuisance ‘plumbing’ for the end user. Combined with a competitive price tag and a FREE five year parts and labour warranty, Dimplex gas boilers really do offer the installer a premium boiler for less.” A flue kit growing in popularity is the split vertical pipe flue that is widely used in apartments where extremely long flue lengths are required and the boiler may be several metres from roof level. As well as offering immense flexibility, this kit enables the flue outlet to be ducted vertically inside the property terminating at roof level, eliminating plumbing, whilst the split pipe system means that air inlet remains at boiler level. Likewise, the external vertical flue kit is designed to overcome problems caused by limited outside space particularly when two even level buildings are situated directly next to each other. When mounted on an external wall, this 100mm flue takes both the flue inlet and outlet up to roof level, effectively eradicating any potential for plumbing nuisance. Fitted retrospectively and with minimum disruption, this flue kit offers a perfect solution for installers. /Cont… Page 3/3 GDBPR03.10 The Dimplex range of gas boilers features a mix of SEDBUK A rated combi, system and open vented boilers that deliver a variety of outputs. Lightweight and compact in design, these models boast simple two-screw access, pre plumbing jig (Combi and System models), wall-mounting template, filling loop and quick fit guide.
