Whale Tankers has always been in the Premier League when it comes to tankers, and here is one of its latest star players outside Stoke City’s Britannia Stadium, The Potteries being the area where it will spend most of its operational life. Recognising quality as King when it comes to purchasing capital equipment to support its waste disposal, treatment and drainage service provision, the non-hazardous, frameless Whalevac tanker trailer has been specified by Cheshire-based Envirocare North West who have once again put their trust in Whale Tankers. Manufactured from BS EN 10025 S275 J0 carbon steel and fitted to a 44 tonne Whalevac trailer complete with full air suspension and lifting front axle, this latest Envirocare tanker is designed and manufactured for carrying sewage and other non-hazardous sludges and has a capacity of more than 29,000 litres. As Envirocare’s Managing Director, Richard Griffiths comments: “Having operated a Whale vacuum tanker in the past, we were particularly impressed with its build quality, so much so that after nine years in almost constant operation, the pressure vessel has a minimum thickness loss of.3mm. That says a lot about the quality of manufacture when you think what these tankers are called upon to transport on a daily basis. Whale has great coverage with locally based engineers and full factory support for routine service, testing and call outs, if required.” Joining Envirocare’s four strong tanker fleet, the VacuumWhale complies with the Pressure System Regulations SI1999 No 2001 Directive No 97/23/EC and has an operating pressure of 1 bar. Serving to operate on a number of contracts across the Potteries where it will collecting slip waste, or in support of drainage and sewage collection in outlying rural areas, vacuum and pressure is supplied in the form of a Mistral 701 Series exhauster compressor.
