Salus has taken the design of heating controls to a new level with the launch of the PH60 - a unique programmable device that not only controls the temperature in the room, but the radiator too and delivers energy savings. Having already scooped the 2010 International Design Award for Heating Technology in Buildings following its launch in Europe, the PH60 successfully combines design vision with technological innovation and it is this that sets it apart from competitors’ models. Designed for installation directly onto almost all TRVs, the PH60 has been engineered with simplicity and convenience in mind. As well as featuring an innovative detachable control unit to aid programming of a pre-set program – especially useful in rooms where radiators are difficult to access – the PH60 boasts an unusual sloping display for optimal reading comfort, together with large, easy-to-use push buttons and a back-lit display. Other features include integrated cold air and frost detection, valve protection and holiday and party functions, as well as a keypad lock. /Cont…. This now means that, as well as controlling the room temperature, the radiator only switches on at pre-determined times. Not only does this prevent heat wastage, it can lead to energy savings of up to 30%.” Dean adds: “Already widely acclaimed by installers across Europe for its innovative design and easy, fast installation, I am confident that PH60 will be an instant hit in the UK.” The unique control convenience provided by the PH60 ensures precise operation of a room heating system in both domestic and commercial settings. Such are the energy savings features of this product that in the event of cold air detection, the thermostat valve closes in order to prevent the unnecessary wastage of energy. A default shut off time of five minutes may also be extended to ten minutes via programming. /Cont… Page 3/3 SAPR06.10 A valve protection feature ensures that the valves remain functional even after long periods out of operation by temporarily opening up once a week, even when no heating energy is required. The new PH60 is available alongside the company’s existing range of thermostats that includes programmers; electronic, RF, cylinder and frost thermostats, together with a line-up of motorized valves, bypass valves, wiring centres, TRVs and control packs. The company also offers a new range of solar systems. All programmers and thermostats are available via Salus’ nationwide network of wholesalers and distributors.
