SALUS UNVEILS NEW UNDERFLOOR HEATING CONTROLS
Pioneering manufacturer, Salus, has unveiled an exclusive range of controls to target the growing market for underfloor heating. Based on extensive market research and incorporating the design and technical vision for which Salus is renowned, the new line-up includes a range of thermostats - ERT20 electronic, ERT30 digital and ERT50 programmable – together with wiring centre, pump logic and actuators. Designed to provide a primary UFH solution or an extension to an existing heating system, this latest range of controls is suitable for both wet and electric systems and boasts optimum performance with ease of operation and installation. Salus’ Managing Director, Dean Jepson, explains: “The environmental benefits offered by UFH in contrast to more traditional systems, combined with the increasing emphasis on energy efficiency, opens up lucrative opportunities for installers. Our new UFH system provides the installer with a selection of heating controls designed to fulfil a variety of requirements.” Dean adds: “As befits the Salus philosophy, these latest models are feature packed, price-competitive and maintain simplicity for the user and installer alike.” The three-model line-up of thermostats caters for a variety of underfloor system requirements. Whilst the ERT2O is a standard electronic room thermostat designed to provide automatic temperature control, the ERT30 is a digital room thermostat that boasts a large, easy to read LCD with orange display and simple touch operation to ensure precise and convenient operation. Meanwhile, the top-of-the-range ERT50 programmable room thermostat boasts the ultimate in heating control features and includes temperature zones with three preset profiles, two freely programmable profiles, memory back-up, keypad lock, manual override and a holiday feature. All models also feature PWM – Pulse Width Modulation, Valve Protection to enable functionality and control within the system to be maintained, and a Night Set Back facility to control overnight temperatures at a level below normal day operation. Also at the heart of Salus’ UFH system is the wiring centre (KL06), a simple yet sophisticated plug-in system that enables up to six thermostats and 24 actuator units to be connected. It is upgradable with Salus’ pump logic module (PL06) to enable the pump only to be switched on when hot water is required for the UFH system, thereby ensuring higher energy efficiency and reduced costs. All products are available via the company’s nationwide network of wholesalers and distributors. Visit www.salus-tech.com or contact 08700 766900 -ENDS- PRESS CONTACT: Julie A.
