STOP PRESS: ACDelco Extends Order Cut-Off Time

Whilst some organisations, both large and small, can be accused of whiling away the summer before refocusing their energies on the commercial arena ‘ahead of the year end’, the same cannot be said of ACDelco. Indeed, having once again only recently announced ‘strong double-digit growth’ in the first six months of 2010, the team at the leading aftermarket automotive components supplier is working hard on a number of new initiatives that are set to be announced over the coming months. Headlining this month is the company’s decision to push back its order cut-off time for customers from 2.30pm to 3.30pm. As General Manager Lee Quinney comments: “Whilst in part the change comes as a result of the feedback from our customers and the ongoing rhetoric that we enjoy with them, such is the sophistication of our warehouse and logistics operation that we are now in a position to introduce what is a reasonably significant change to our service offering. “Having trialled the change to the system now for a number of weeks, ACDelco implemented the change with effect from August 1,” he added. But the new order cut-off point forms only part of the story. As Lee concludes: “Over the past several months we have been working and investing heavily in two additional areas and we expect to be in a position to announce full details with effect from early September. Once again from ACDelco, it is a case of watch this space.” -ENDS- PRESS CONTACT: Paul Watson Wentworth Communications Limited Tel: 0161 973 6763 Fax: 0161 969 6813 Email: paul@wentworthcomms.co.uk
