Welcoming the return of the CV Show this year is local company and specialist manufacturer to the waste and cleaning industries, Whale Tankers of Solihull. Set to make a big splash at the show will be Whale’s main exhibit, a stainless steel tri-axle tipping trailer built to transport hazardous waste. Indeed this BespokeWhale is the latest in a multiple order, which includes six identical ADR tankers. During the next 18 months they will join the fleet of Taylors Industrial Services of Aberdeen - one of the largest family-owned waste management companies in Scotland. As Whale Tankers’ Managing Director, Mark Warmington comments: “We are excited about returning to the CV Show having enjoyed a great association with the exhibition and its organisers in the past. In addition, we confirm that we will be providing our customary park and ride service to the exhibition, giving visitors a chance to see our facilities in the process. Since the last CV Show Whale has invested heavily in innovation and product development, with many new features now being included as standard on our products, particularly with regard to operator safety and automated electronic controls. We will be keen to demonstrate these features over the three show days in April.” He added: “We are particularly pleased to be exhibiting the BespokeWhale ADR Tanker that has been ordered by Taylors, as it serves to demonstrate perfectly our capabilities in the field of specialist tanker manufacture and it should be a real crowd puller. The recent order for six identical units represents a significant piece of business and follows their decision to invest in a KAISERWhale dirty water recycler last year.” Manufactured to ADR Class 3, 6.1 and 8 specifications and with the capacity to transport hazardous waste, the 44-tonne GVW unit with tri-axle running gear will have TC1 and TC2 approval ahead of joining Taylors’ 40-strong tanker fleet. Specified as part of Taylors’ drive to deliver an ever-expanding service that continues to set the benchmark when it comes to problem solving through innovation. Investing in highly specialised pieces of capital equipment is central to the company’s ongoing development strategy. Constructed from 316-grade stainless steel, the vacuum tanker’s chassis features load sensing, stability traction control and lifting front axle. With a capacity of 6,000 gallons, the tank features two top man lids and a hydraulically operated folding handrail with full-length catwalk fitted nearside. The ADR tanker’s vacuum capability is provided by a Jurop 150 water-cooled rotary vane exhauster/compressor, delivering 500 cfm, with flame traps either side of the exhauster. Commenting on the decision to invest in this latest ADR tanker capability, Managing Director and family member, Kevin Taylor said: “The new tankers will enable us to provide our customers with even greater access to an enhanced and ever-developing fleet. We have built up quite a reputation for delivering a dynamic and efficient business that certainly doesn’t rest on its laurels. One thing is for sure, and that is with the new ADR tankers in our fleet we will have the capability to satisfy the needs of those customers that require a combined service provision.” In addition to promoting its capabilities within the field of tanker design and manufacture, Whale Tankers will also be highlighting the benefits of its acclaimed parts and service operation. On hand to field enquiries will be representatives from sales, parts and service who will show a wide variety of accessories and jetting nozzles, whilst distributing a DVD with videos of nozzles in action. -ENDS-
