Boss Design Group’s seating scores a triumph at The Vox
The Boss Design Group was the number one choice when it came to furnishing Birmingham’s new cutting-edge conference venue, The Vox, with a range of seating solutions for its impressive conference and boardroom areas, and spacious foyer.
To meet the rigours of five busy conference suites, without sacrificing comfort, 500 Ice non-arm conference chairs from the Komac brand were specified by the purchasing team at The NEC Group - masterminds behind The Vox, Birmingham’s ICC and Dublin’s CCD.
Specified in a twin-stitched upholstery with a bespoke blue fabric, together with a striking chrome frame, the Ice chairs create a stunning aesthetic throughout the conference suites. For added flexibility, they can be neatly stacked ten high and easily transported on a porter’s trolley.
To grace its three boardroom areas, a total of 64 Delphi high back exec cantilever chairs with arms from the Boss Design brand were installed. Combining the sumptuous finish of a lounge seat with an office chair’s functionality. Delphi features an upholstered sprung seat and back, and complete with superior tilt mechanism, offers superb comfort. The chairs were upholstered in Skai Sotega Amethyst coloured vinyl and feature a chrome frame.
Making a lasting impression in the bright and spacious foyer at The Vox, that overlooks Pendigo Lake, is the Raft modular seating collection from the Komac brand. Featuring single and double benches, as well as corner pieces and curved sections, Raft has been tailored to provide optimum seating and comfort. Komac’s stylish and contemporary Jaq armchairs provide the perfect compliment to the modular seating.
Commenting on this specification, Purchasing Manager, Debbie Cookson, at The NEC Group said: “Given The Boss Design Group’s expertise in seating solutions, it was only natural that we turned to them for help with furnishing our new venue. Not only are their products an aesthetic and functional triumph, we are confident that the durability of the product will exceed all expectations.”
Brian Murray, Managing Director at The Boss Design Group commented: “We are delighted to be part of this amazing venue and to have helped create a stunning conference environment. By introducing bespoke upholstery to the project, we were able to further demonstrate our custom design prowess.”
Situated in the Resorts World complex in Birmingham, The Vox is driving innovation in the conference market by providing creative and flexible spaces in a brand new environment. Accommodating up to 900 delegates, The Vox is the only UK conference venue to feature 4k screens, and to offer a full leisure destination under the same roof.
