LEC MEDICAL TO DEMONSTRATE REFRIGERATION SUPREMACY

Lec Medical is pulling out all the stops at this year’s Clinical Pharmacy Congress to demonstrate its supremacy in the market for providing medical refrigeration storage solutions. The company will be parading a comprehensive line-up of its best-selling, purpose-built pharmacy refrigeration, including under-counter and counter-top models, and large capacity pharmacy and glass door models complete with pre-fitted anti-bacterial shelves, together with a portable cooler bag. Also being promoted at the show is the company’s advanced data logger, together with its annual temperature mapping and health check services.

Storage Solutions: Compact under-counter and counter-top fridges provide a popular and effective storage solution for busy cramped pharmacies. Whilst under-counter models are designed to fit under most countertops, enabling the best use of space, compact countertop fridges are ideal for those outlets where space is limited and are a useful back-up to larger models. Meanwhile, large capacity models are available in 600L and 1200L sizes in glass and solid door options, and are designed to meet the needs of large, busy pharmacies.

Anti-bacterial drawer packs: Pre-fitted or available separately, these help minimise the potential for bacterial growth and cross contamination. Easy to open for simple replenishment, they are also removable for cleaning and come supplied with 17mm pre-drilled holes to maintain effective airflow within the fridge. Extra dividers are also available to compartmentalise certain drugs.

Portable cooler bag: Ideal for medics on the go, this latest model provides safe, reliable and energy efficient temperature controlled storage for drugs and vaccines that need to be transported. It conforms to MHRA guidelines and offers an ideal solution for out of hours doctors and emergency services.

Temperature Mapping and Health Checks: At the show, the company is also encouraging pharmacies to undertake temperature mapping and annual health checks for their medical refrigeration. Introduced in response to MHRA recommendations, both services are newly available from Lec Medical and are designed to help prolong the life of the units and ensure they are functioning correctly. The company’s new and advanced data logger, complete with calibration capabilities, is also ideal for helping pharmacies in their quest for accurate temperature monitoring.

All of Lec Medical’s refrigeration models feature a fitted lock, an innovative anti-microbial handle, wire shelves and basket, and come with a two year parts and labour warranty as standard. All under-counter models also feature a new advanced digital controller, internal light and fitted rollers for ease of movement. Selected models are available with a glass door.
