Ravenheat boilers go with the flow in summer

Choosing a new gas boiler in summer when the demand for hot water increases has been made even easier, thanks to Ravenheat’s White Heat and HE high efficiency condensing boilers. Two models - HE 42 and WH 130 - have been designed to offer exceptional high domestic flow rates, without sacrificing heating performance throughout the rest of the year.

Whilst the WH 130 delivers an output of from 7kW to 36kW domestic and a hot water flow rate of 14.5 litres a minute @ 35° rise, the more powerful HE 42 delivers an output of 8kW to 42kW delivering an impressive domestic flow rate of 17.3 litres a minute at 35° rise. This makes the HE 42 perfect for larger properties or where there is exceptional demand for hot water.

A cylindrical large surface area stainless steel heat exchanger plus fan helps delivers fully modulating outputs, so the boiler adapts to the actual demand and reduces gas consumption. It also ensures Class 5 low NOx emissions, which fall well below UK and European standards.

Compact in size, these models are some of the smallest high-output combination boilers on the market, and they are ideal for situations where space is tight but powerful performance is required.

Comments Managing Director at Ravenheat, Louis Pickersgill: “Summer may seem an unlikely time to encourage customers to invest in a new gas boiler, but as the number of showers increase, the boiler’s hot water capabilities come under the spotlight.

“Whilst there is never a convenient time for a boiler breakdown, summer is actually the most convenient time to replace a boiler with a more efficient model. Breakdowns in winter can make cold, dark winter days even more miserable,”.

He concludes: “To help customers make the right choices, we welcome the forthcoming change in legislation that will enforce manufacturers to label boilers with the efficiency of water and consumption of energy.”

To further improve energy efficiency, both the WH 130 and HE 42 are fully compatible with Energycatcher - Ravenheat’s innovative Passive Flue Gas Heat Recovery System (PFGHRS). This system uses the latent heat in the flue gases that are normally lost from the flue of a condensing boiler to help heat the domestic hot water supply.
