Leading boiler manufacturer, Ravenheat, is to co-host a free one day seminar to promote gas safety to managers and employees of social housing that either manage gas contracts or enforce gas safety within their organisations. The seminar is set to take place on Wednesday 17th June 2015 from 10am-3pm at Ravenheat’s headquarters in Morley, near Leeds.

Following an introduction to Gas Safe Register and Ravenheat, the seminar will explore large business team operations, the role of Regional Investigation Officers on illegal gas work, Gas Safe PR and Stakeholder gas safety activities and events. The seminar will also cover follow-up actions when a tenant reports fumes or a carbon monoxide alarm activation, along with duty holders’ responsibilities in non-residential premises with regard to gas safety.

Technical Service Manager at Ravenheat, John Wilson, comments: “As well as providing an opportunity for employees to gain a better understanding of Gas Safe Register operations and its various activities in promoting gas safety, the seminar intends to explore how organisations can work together with Gas Safe Register to promote and encourage safe working practices in the workplace, thereby ensuring a gas safe environment. The seminar will enable us to proudly demonstrate the latest advancements in boiler product design, innovation and technology.”

Alan Thornton from Gas Safe Register said: “Our focus is purely on gas safety issues rather than any commercial considerations but we are happy to work alongside industry to get the messages across. Together, we can be even more effective.”

Inclusive of lunch and refreshments, the event is by invitation only and numbers are restricted to 40 on a first come basis. A confirmation of attendance form will be required available from alan.thornton@gassaferegister.co.uk and returned by 17th May 2015
