SALUS LAUNCHES NEW IMPROVED MAGNETIC FILTER WITH SYSTEM CARE
In its quest to provide homeowners and installers with an energy-efficient home heating system that provides high performance and reliability for years to come, SALUS has introduced a new and improved high-efficiency, full flow magnetic filter - Mag Defender.
Manufactured by SALUS, this latest model comes complete with a more tapered body, it can be top vented for ease of installation and easily removed without opening the unit for quick servicing. It also comes complete with a new SALUS branded 500ml system guard inhibitor that offers protection against corrosion and limescale. A new range of other inhibitors is also available.

Designed with the installer in mind to provide easy cleaning and servicing of central heating systems, this 22mm valve Mag Defender protects systems by removing virtually 100 per cent of suspended black iron oxides with immediate results, and comes with no extra running costs.
Complete with 22mm isolation valves that feed water in and out of the 500ml capacity nylon enclosure, the entire product is sealed with a compression Nylon cap with EPDM ‘O’ ring, for that perfect airtight seal. A 20mm diameter removable neodymium magnet is easily removed.
In addition to the system guard inhibitor, a SALUS system guard sludge remover and system cleaner are also available. Whilst the former serves to eliminate circulation problems in systems, the latter removes flux residues and other debris.
The new Mag Defender is available alongside SALUS’ existing range of thermostatic heating controls that features programmers; electronic, RF, cylinder and frost thermostats, together with a line-up of bypass valves, wiring centres, TRVs and control packs. All products are available via the company’s nationwide network of merchants and building associated wholesalers.
