WESTFIELD HOUSING PROVIDES AFFORDABLE WARMTH WITH VALOR GAS FIRES
Leading gas and electric fire manufacturer, Valor, continues to assist Westfield Housing Association with its central heating upgrade programme, by providing tenants with a choice of gas fires that deliver the ultimate in heat efficiency, low running costs and affordable warmth.
Winner of the Small Housing Association of the Year 2012 and overall Landlord of the Year award in the UK Housing Awards, Westfield Housing’s central heating upgrade programme has been available to over 500 homes all located within the borough of Allerdale, West Cumbria since 2005. Offering a choice of two of Valor’s best selling gas models, including Black Beauty and Blenheim, the programme also offers tenants the option to upgrade to an alternative Valor model, if preferred.
In addition to high heat performance, low running costs and low maintenance, the Valor fires provide up to 4.0kW of heat output, deliver heat efficiencies of up to 82% and are quality tested to rigorous standards.
Operations Manager of Westfield Housing Association, Lynda Coid explains: “We are fully committed to enhancing and improving the services that we offer and our central heating upgrade programme allows us to provide reliable and energy efficient fires to our tenants.”
She added: “By continuing to supply Valor fires and all the energy efficiency benefits that gas fires bring, those homes that are trapped in fuel poverty can benefit from all the warmth and comfort of a gas fire without having to worry about excessive bills.”
Product Marketing Manager at Valor, Tracey Falshaw said: “We are delighted to continue playing a role in Westfield Housing’s central heating upgrade programme. Gas is by far still the cheapest fuel to run, and as well as offering affordable warmth and visual comfort, gas fires remain powerful weapons in the fight against fuel poverty.”
The Association was formed in 1950, by United Steel Companies Limited exclusively to house key workers moving to Workington for employment in the new iron foundry and engineering shops in Chapel Bank. In the 1980’s the Association broke away from United Steel to become independent and has since increased its property portfolio to 536 properties based in and around West Cumbria.
