Report this content

West Siberian Resources Ltd’s oil production during August 2005 amounted to 185,890 barrels or 6,000 barrels per day. Last year, August oil production amounted to 87,600 barrels or 2,825 barrels per day.

Oil was produced from the Middle Nyurola-, Kluchevskoye-, Puglalymskoye- and Khvoinoye fields. Two new wells were completed and put on production during the month. The drilling program is continuing at Middle Nyurola where three drilling rigs are active. The first gas powered generator was put into operation at Middle Nyurola. Additional generators will be operational shortly. These generators are powered by gas produced in the field, that previously was flared. The objective is to be electricity self-sufficient. “We are adding production every month. Increased production and rising oil prices result in rapid revenue growth.” Maxim Barski, West Siberian Resources Ltd’s Managing Director stated in a comment to the production report.
