July oil production

Report this content

West Siberian Resources Ltd’s oil production during July amounted to 176,300 barrels or 5,680 barrels per day. Cumulative production in 2005 amounts to approximately 1,114,000 barrels.

Oil was produced from the Middle Nyurola-, Kluchevskoye-, Puglalymskoye- and Khvoinoye fields. Water injection was started from well 135. Two wells are currently being drilled at Middle Nyurola. Pumps were replaced on several wells at Middle Nyurola. At the Khvoinoye-field, both wells that were shut-in in June were put back on production during the last week of July, after successful workovers. The installation of gas powered generators at Middle Nyurola was completed and will be operational from early August. These generators will be powered by gas produced in the field, that previously was flared. Currently, electricity is generated from diesel fuel that is purchased and transported to the field. “Production continues to increase while the installation of gas generators will yield significant cost savings going forward.” Maxim Barski, West Siberian Resources Ltd’s Managing Director stated in a comment to the production report.
