Wetteri Plc Press release 17 December 2024 at 14.30
Automotive growth company Wetteri’s cooperation with Astara Finland, the importer of Kia and Mitsubishi brands, is expanding. With the cooperation, Wetteri’s Kia expansion will reach now ten locations: Iisalmi, Joensuu, Rovaniemi, Kemi, Oulu, Lempäälä, Ylivieska, Pori, Kajaani and now Kuopio.
Aarne Simula, CEO and President, Wetteri Plc:
“We are still very pleased with deepening the cooperation. We believe that this is an important driver of organic growth, as Kia is one of the most popular car brands in our country and winner of Car Of The Year 2025. Wetteri operates nationwide, which makes the company an interesting partner for importers. Importers are currently critically reviewing and reorganizing their sales networks, it is part of the automotive industry’s playoff situation. Wetteri’s expanding brand representation shows the strong position that Wetteri has in the automotive market.
Dealer networks are shrinking significantly and Wetteri will play a strong role in the renewing market.”
Miska Tammelin, CEO, Astara Finland:
“For us it is important to find a partner with a strong network and regional presence specifically in the new car trade, and Wetteri is a strong player. We have been successfully working with Wetteri since 2010, and now is a good time to expand further.”
