Weyerhaeuser Offering up to $300 in Rebates on OSB Building Products
Up to $100 rebate available for qualifying purchases of Radiant Barrier Sheathing (RBS) and up to $300 for Weyerhaeuser® Edge Gold™ flooring panels
Federal Way, Wash., May 18, 2012 – Building industry professionals looking for a financial edge in their construction projects can receive money back for qualifying purchases of Weyerhaeuser oriented strand board (OSB) products this summer. Weyerhaeuser is offering $3.00 cash back per panel of 7/8″ or thicker Weyerhaeuser Edge Gold™ flooring (or $1.50 for each 23/32″ panel), and $1.00 per panel of Weyerhaeuser Radiant Barrier Sheathing (RBS) – up to 100 panels for each product line. Building material dealers also can earn rebates of $0.25 per panel, up to $250 total for Edge Gold flooring and up to $100 total for RBS. Weyerhaeuser Edge Gold flooring panels are engineered for consistency to help builders construct flat and stable floors in homes, multi-family projects and light commercial construction. Starting this year, the panels also feature Down Pore self-draining technology to drain water off of floors during construction, which helps eliminate potential damage and reduces delays in construction. Weyerhaeuser provides a 200-day no-sand guarantee, which assures builders that the panels offer superior resistance to edge swell. Edge Gold flooring also comes with a limited 50-year structural warranty against panel delamination.
Weyerhaeuser RBS panels are foil-laminated to help lower home energy use by reflecting up to 97 percent of the sun’s radiant energy and reducing heat build up in attics. The panels offer an efficient and cost-effective, one-step solution to help keep homes cool and comfortable while reducing energy bills.
To help provide customers with continuing reliable supply of both flooring and roofing OSB panels, Weyerhaeuser OSB is expanding product lines at two mills this summer:
- Arcadia, Louisiana, will begin producing Edge Gold flooring to meet increasing demand in the southern U.S.
- Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan, will begin producing RBS to service markets in California, Colorado, Nevada and Arizona.
Additionally, the company’s Edson, Alberta, mill is adding equipment to produce Down Pore drainage grooves on Edge Gold panels to serve markets in western North America.
