Wheatland Tube Hires New General Manager for Fence and Galvanized Mechanical Products
CHICAGO (November 1, 2012) — Wheatland Tube Company, a division of JMC Steel Group, announced today that David Devine has joined the company as the general manager for fence and galvanized mechanical products. In this role, David will be responsible for driving the sales and product management for fence products, along with the development and implementation of a market plan for Wheatland to reenter the galvanized mechanical tube market.
Devine has a proven track record of growing sales and new markets on a national level, with more than 19 years of experience in the mechanical tube market. Most recently, he served as national sales manager — energy solutions for Atkore / Unistrut Construction, where he was in charge of the design and build of structural racking solutions, incorporating galvanized mechanical tube and custom roll-formed profiles.
Devine has also held regional and national sales roles within the mechanical tube and construction sales divisions, where he was responsible for the revenue growth of the western half of the United States as well as foreign markets, and for the introduction and development of mechanical products into both the solar and construction industries by working with manufacturers, distributors and contractors.
