White & Case advises Mutares on sale of Frigoscandia

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Mutares SE & Co. KGaA on its sale of portfolio company Frigoscandia to Dachser.

Mutares acquired Frigoscandia in December 2021 from state-owned Posten Norge and undertook a successful transformation and repositioning of Frigoscandia. The completion of the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals including EU merger control and foreign direct investment clearances.

Mutares is a listed private equity holding company with offices in Munich, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Helsinki, London, Madrid, Milan, Paris, Shanghai, Stockholm, Vienna and Warsaw. It acquires medium-sized, Europe-based companies in special situations and improves those companies’ prospects for long term success.

Frigoscandia is a full-service provider of temperature-controlled logistics in the Nordic market. Headquartered in Helsingborg, Sweden, the company employs around 1,300 people and generated more than €300 million in revenues in 2023.

Dachser is a family-owned global leader in system logistics founded in 1930 and headquartered in Kempten, Germany. With 376 locations worldwide, the company generated €8.1 billion in net revenue in 2022.
