Latest Greenlogic products on ScoMac stand at Glasgow Show

ScotHot, Stand 4527, SECC Glasgow, March 4-6 2013

Sister companies Williams and Falcon are to co-sponsor the Salon Culinaire at ScotHot, supplying prime cooking and refrigeration equipment for the competing chefs.

“Sponsorship of this keenly fought, live theatre competition is a great opportunity for us, as equipment manufacturers, to give something back to the industry,” says Malcolm Harling, sales and marketing director of Williams.  “For the young chefs showcasing their skills, it’s a high-pressure environment, often even more so than in a ‘real’ commercial kitchen.  Reliable, quality equipment is a priority –we’re delighted to have been invited to take part again.”

Williams and Falcon have now sponsored the Salon Culinaire for the past eight years, not only at ScotHot but also Hotelympia in London and the Hospitality Show in Birmingham.

Williams is supplying the ScotHot Salon arena with six refrigerators and two freezers, all from the popular Jade range.  Falcon is supplying eight six burner ranges and eight salamander grills.

Visitors to the show will also be able to see recently launched equipment from both companies, on the ScoMac stand, including Grab & Go display cabinets from Williams and induction ranges, chargrills and fryers from Falcon.

“We have a very close relationship with ScoMac, as we do with all our key distributors, so it was an easy decision to agree to support them at the ScotHot,” says Malcolm Harling.

A key area both Williams and Falcon will be promoting is sustainability, with their Greenlogic initiative being core to all new product developments.  For example, Williams’ new open-fronted Sandwich Chiller, shown on the ScoMac stand, features a clever air curtain design that ensures most of the cool air is recycled, thus saving energy whilst protecting the food and allowing customers easy access.  Falcon will be showcasing their energy efficient induction products at the show.  Induction offers many advantages over gas and electric rivals, not least in significantly reduced energy wastage, with over 90% of heat directed straight into the pot.
