Aspiro Music has today signed a letter of intent with one of Ireland's largest operators, to launch a music streaming service in the Irish market. Launch of the service is expected this fall.

Aspiro offers the music streaming service WiMP in Sweden, Norway and Denmark and in Portugal through a white label solution. Entering May, the service had 200 000 paying users and is growing at a brisk pace. During May and June, television distributor Canal Digital has been rolling out the service to 700,000 Norwegian customers who are offered WiMP included in their TV subscription. The service also launched in Sweden in February this year.

- We are still experiencing very strong growth and our user base is increasing every day. As we launch with a strong partner in Ireland this autumn, we'll be available in five countries. Simultaneously, we are also negotiating with several additional partners for launch in more markets, says Aspiro's CEO Gunnar Sellæg.

Aspiro's Music business had sales of some 50 million SEK in 2010, and Aspiro's goal is to reach at least 150% growth in 2011.
