Telenor chose WiMP as music partner for Pakistan

Music service WiMP has been chosen as the music partner for Telenor Pakistan. Telenor will act as a reseller for WiMP, and also bundle the music service into specific mobile subscriptions to its customers.

WiMP is already partnering with Telenor in Norway and Denmark.

WiMP is the only music service providing lossless sound quality and the first and only multimedia service with integrated editorial, magazine and video.

"We are aiming for high growth internationally and distribution partners like Telenor is a key element that has proved successful in our existing markets. We are happy they have chosen us as their partner in Pakistan and are confident that along with our new Asian team, this will give us an excellent platform for continued growth and expansion,” said WiMP Music CEO Andy Chen.

WiMP has hired a dedicated team based in New Delhi led by Rohit Bhatia, former CEO of Indian music streaming service Dhingana.
