Sign On and Nordea in joint pilot project Sign On and Nordea are to carry out a joint pilot project in order to render internal administrative processes more effective with the aid of Nordea's smart card and Sign On's FormPipe application. Within the pilot project, Nordea will study the possibilities of rendering internal processes more effective with the aid of Nordea's smart card and Sign On's FormPipe application. In practice, this implies that Nordea's employees will be able to electronically sign an internal form for use in an electronic information flow. - This project is not financially important, but is strategically significant due to the banking sector being a client segment that Sign On is currently investing in, says Andreas Halvarsson, vice President of Sign On. Sign On's product FormPipe is designed to handle the electronic signing and transmission of documents from private people and companies to public authorities - but also for internal flows, as in the case of Nordea. Staff at Nordea are to be equipped with electronic ID cards that will be used to electronically sign electronic documents. - This initial project with Nordea strengthens our position both nationally and globally, continues Andreas Halvarsson. In Sweden, an electronic signature has the same legal value as a traditional signature since 2001. Similar legislation also exists in Europe and the United States.
