Swedish Customs Department eliminates paper documents - companies benefit The Swedish company Sign On and the Swedish Customs Department have reached an agreement to use electronically signed documents that will eliminate the time-consuming paperwork that has affected companies to date. Electronic documents that can be signed and submitted via the Internet are the future for companies that currently struggle with the complicated and costly paperwork associated with doing business across borders. "Cooperating with Sign On will make our documents available on the Internet. It will be possible to complete an electronic form on the Internet, sign it electronically and transmit it directly to us. It doesn't get any simpler," says Vidar Gundersen, development strategist for the Swedish Customs Department. Sign On is the first company in the world to develop electronically signed documents. At the beginning of the year, electronically signed documents became as legally valid as handwritten signatures, paving the way for this new cooperation. "Thanks to our technology, the Swedish Customs Department will be able to streamline administration and make it easier for the thousands of companies that currently have to deal with complicated paper documents. Our electronically signed documents feature functions that notify the user immediately if something has not been filled in correctly," says Andreas Halvarsson, Vice President of Sign On For further information, please contact Andreas Halvarsson, Vice President of Sign On, at Ph:+46 8(0)-555 290 07, mobile:+46 (0)70-545 95 95, e-mail: andreas.halvarsson@signon.se Sign On AB (publ) is listed on OM, the Stockholm Exchange, the New Market at the Stockholm Exchange.
