Petter chases more Estering magic
Petter Solberg’s a big fan of this week’s World RX of Germany event at Buxtehude. Not without good reason: he won in 2014 and finished second last year.
This time around? Guess what… he wants a win.
“I like this track,” says Solberg. “It’s nice to go back to a place with some good memories. The last few weeks have been pretty tough for PSRX, but driving through the gates into Estering, we will remember why we are here and what this team can do.
“We have two races now, here and Argentina and the plan is simple: we focus everything on one race at a time with a very straightforward strategy – to win.
“These last two races are about the medals and who gets what colour. The chances of a third straight gold for me are definitely receding now, but we’re still very much in the fight.”
“Outside of rallycross, I’m really excited to be going to my first Gymkhana GriD event in Greece at the end of the month. I think you’ve probably seen that I’m quite fond of smoking some tyres and that’s what the weekend will be about. While I’m there, maybe I’ll try and show my friend Ken Block how to do some donuts!”
