Organised in partnership with ACAROM, the Romanian automotive supplier association, AutoRomania 2010 is being organized to bring together over 200 senior automotive professionals to find new ways to quickly return automotive prosperity and success to Romania and the region.  Senior attendees will include chief executives from Renault Dacia and FORD Romania, OEMs and major international suppliers sourcing in country as well as senior delegations from local Romanian automotive manufacturers

Romania is one of few automotive producing nations left in Europe to show stronger signs of recovery and growth during a worldwide automotive crisis so senior speakers at AutoRomania will be sharing exclusive plans to ensure Romania continues to play a significant role in the global automotive industry. Automotive professionals operating in South East Europe are invited to attend AutoRomania to discover what the government is doing to stimulate growth, find out what major producers Renault Dacia and Ford will be doing to support economic activity as well as to benefit from an assessment of Romanian domestic manufacturing capabilities. Delegates will benefit from a day of interactive presentations and pre-organised networking functions including the popular supplier partnering session in the afternoon of November 23rd.

On the morning of November 23rd the Prime Minister of Romania will open AutoRomania with a keynote presentation outlining policies to enable growth in the automotive sector followed by in-depth presentations from Constantin Stroe, President and General Manager, ACAROM, Jerome Olive, Chief Operating Officer, Renault Dacia, Paul Flanagan, Managing Director, FORD Romania and Philip Prevel, General Manager, Renault Technology Center Romania offering delegates a detailed evaluation of development plans and opportunities in Romania’s automotive sector.

In additional conference sessions experienced purchasing managers from OEMs sourcing in Romania and neighbouring countries will offer delegates their latest plans including Helge Zeuner, Manager, Volkswagen Purchasing Office Budapest and Daniele Gianetti, Chief Purchasing Officer, Inalfa Roof Systems allowing attendees to learn about regional opportunities and current automotive trends in South East Europe.

As part of the afternoon sessions delegates will network during the supplier partnering function when senior representatives from local, regional and international automotive manufacturers all gather in one place at one time to maintain and build relationships for collaboration. Discussions and networking will continue during informal drinks and dinner receptions at the Intercontinental Hotel throughout the evening to maximise the time and opportunity to effectively develop business in the Romanian automotive sector.

On November 24th delegates are invited to attend a VIP guided tour of the Renault Dacia plant in Mioveni to discover where new investments will be made, which new models will be produced and the latest quality, supplier localisation and supply chain strategies from top management. Lasting up to 2 hours the tour will give delegates a realistic view of the changes and improvements highlighted during the previous day’s presentations.

As the only major networking opportunity for automotive manufacturers in South East Europe this year all the most senior figures from OEMs, tiered suppliers and their partners in the region will attend AutoRomania making this the best possible opportunity for automotive professionals to receive valuable information about national and regional market trends as well as meet and learn from top government and industry decision makers steering the automotive sector to a full and rapid recovery.
