WYG acquires Alliance Planning consultancy
Global programme, project management and technical consultancy WYG becomes one of the largest planning consultancies in the UK following the acquisition of Alliance Planning on 10 September 2014.
Leeds, United Kingdom, 11 September 2014 – Global programme, project management and technical consultancy WYG is delighted to announce the merging of its planning division with Alliance Planning on 10 September 2014. This selective acquisition strengthens WYG’s offering in planning services, making it one of the largest planning consultancies in the UK. Steven Fidgett, Owner and Director of Alliance Planning, joins WYG as new Head of Discipline for Planning.
Established in 1996, Alliance Planning has been a rapidly expanding independent planning consultancy, with offices in London, Guildford, Birmingham and the East of England. Its 31 planning, heritage and urban design professionals provide advice on every aspect of development, from historic environment and natural resources to master planning, housing and high density urban living. They are all joining WYG, boosting its existing team of planning experts to over 100 and making it a top 5 UK planning consultancy.
This move is in line with WYG’s strategy to grow through selective acquisitions. It offers clients a wider scope of planning services and enables country-wide geographical coverage.
