WYG announces acquisition of Delta Partnership Solutions Limited
WYG is pleased to announce the expansion of their international business with the acquisition of specialist international development consultancy, Delta Partnership Solutions Limited.
Formed in 2000, Delta is an established business boasting an experienced team of permanent consultants and a large network of associates dedicated to improving the lives of people living in poverty. Delta has worked with a range of clients including the governments of Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda, the bi-lateral aid agencies of Norway, Canada, Belgium, the UK and Sweden, as well as a broad range of non government organisations and foundations. Delta is headquartered in the UK and has offices in Nairobi, Kenya and Kampala, Uganda.
Delta was founded by Mike Thomson who will be our Business Development Director for East Africa and Aileen Lyon, who will become WYG’s Operations Director for East Africa.
Mike has more than 20 years’ experience working on projects around the world focusing on public sector reform and the better delivery of environmental, water, health, justice and education services. He has lived and worked throughout East Africa and has recently directed projects involving national development planning, HIV/AIDS prevention, renewable energy, technical and vocational training and agricultural value added among others. Mike has a Masters Degree in Development Economics, and speaks Spanish, Portuguese and Swahili.
Aileen has over 20 years’ experience in delivering major programmes designed to support institutional reform and develop social inclusion. She has used her expertise in monitoring and evaluation, civil society, governance and policy working for government agencies in Bosnia, Kenya, Tanzania and elsewhere around the world. Aileen has a Masters Degree in Social Policy and Planning from LSE and is a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. She speaks English, Swahili and French.
