WYG repositions UK management team for growth
International multi-disciplinary consultancy, WYG, has recently announced changes to its UK management structure.
The simplified structure will position its senior management team to play a bigger role in growing the business and leading a more focused and joined up marketing strategy.
In the UK, the Group will operate in two Divisions: Planning, Environment & Transport and Management Services / Buildings & Infrastructure. The new divisions will be headed by Tim Holden and Clive Anderson respectively. The new structure, which has not entailed the creation of any new layers of management, will reinforce the existing key roles necessary to achieve the objectives of the business.
The timing of the announcement comes ahead of the publication of the Group’s half year financial results later this week which analysts expect to mark a return to operating profit.
Glen Thorn, Head of WYG’s UK Region, said: “I believe that WYG is a genuinely innovative, multi-disciplinary company that is very different in its character and operation to the old Group. More importantly, we have an opportunity to continue to create our own place in the consultancy market, one that is significantly different from the large engineering businesses with which we traditionally compare ourselves. I am looking forward to leading our UK teams into a new era for the company”.
