Wyld Networks selected for government-backed UK APAC (Asia Pacific) Tech Growth Programme run by Intralink
Wyld Networks have been awarded a place on the UK APAC Tech Growth Programme, a UK government-backed initiative to help UK tech firms grow in the Asia Pacific region. The programme will increase UK digital tech exports in Asia Pacific by supporting market engagement for UK tech companies.
Managed by Intralink, the business consultants specialising in developing market opportunities in Asia, the programme provides in-country Business Development Initiatives to help identify and engage target companies. The new UK-APAC Tech Growth Programme puts a sharp emphasis on the achievement of tangible commercial results for eligible tech companies, with hands-on, subsidised support provided by Intralink’s teams on the ground in the region.
As the UK joins the The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) Asia has become an even more important market for UK companies. Wyld’s ability to connect IoT devices in any location, on 100% of the earth’s surface, will enable Asian companies trying to solve IoT connectivity issues and gather the data they need to grow revenues and meet sustainability targets.
Paul Scully, UK Government Minister for Tech & the Digital Economy, said: “Seamless collaboration with our global counterparts is the key that will unlock the potential of our leading start-up community and, in turn, the UK’s future as a science and technology superpower.”
Intralink CEO, Greg Sutch, commented: “We’re proud to be playing a core role in the Government’s drive to help UK tech businesses grow internationally. APAC offers huge opportunities for pioneering British firms with the technologies to address the major challenges that face countries in the region. We’re greatly looking forward to helping UK innovators succeed in APAC and providing a boost to the UK’s international trade.”
“We are delighted to have this opportunity with the UK APAC Tech Growth Programme to take our satellite IoT solutions to Asia,” said Alastair Williamson, CEO Wyld Networks. “With Wyld Connect able to deliver data from IoT devices anywhere on earth this is an excellent opportunity to reach new markets and solve new problems and improve profitability and sustainability for our clients.”
