Xoma AB and Dutch Seaweed Group Enter into Collaboration for the Development of a New Seaweed Cultivation Facility with Planned Delivery in 2025
Xoma AB, a leading Foodtech company with innovative solutions in seaweed cultivation, has entered into a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Dutch Seaweed Group, a company specializing in cultivating and selling seaweed. The collaboration focuses on developing and delivering an advanced seaweed cultivation facility based on Xoma's unique CLAS technology, with planned delivery in the fall of 2025.
Establishing the Future of Seaweed Cultivation
Xoma AB and Dutch Seaweed Group share the vision of contributing to a more sustainable future through large-scale and efficient seaweed cultivation. Through this collaboration, the Dutch Seaweed Group aims to strengthen its production capacity and continue expanding its presence in the European market. In addition year-around cultivation (and sales) of seaweed will become a reality. A Strategic Partnership
During the fall of 2024, Xoma AB and Dutch Seaweed Group will work together to specify the technical and operational details of the facility. The goal is to reach a final agreement by the first quarter 2025. Xoma AB is responsible for providing technical expertise and leading the facility's construction, while Dutch Seaweed Group is responsible for managing the operational aspects.
