No allocation of new contracts in Arbetsförmedlingen’s bus courses tender

YrkesAkademin has not been allocated any new bus-driver education contracts in the recent tender by the national employment agency, Arbetsförmedlingen. From the decision on May 23 there is a ten day appeal period. In 2015 the turn-over from bus-driver education was approximately SEK 45m.

In a comment, YA’s CEO Jan Larsson says:

- After last month’s decision on truck-driver education, yesterday’s announcement came as no surprise. As then, I find it difficult to see how we would have been able to deliver the quality in the education and professional skills required to make participants truly employable with the prices that won the tender.

- We have appealed the procurement of truck-driver education since it was characterised by ambiguity and inconsequence in the assessment of quality and lack of appropriate documentation. We are considering to appeal also this procurement process.
